My name is Krystle Briese and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Registered Play Therapist. I provide child therapy and play therapy services in the San Diego area, located in El Cajon.

I am available four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I do video consultation calls on Wednesdays. First appointment of the day is 9 AM and the last appointment of the day is 3 PM.

Thank you for your interest in learning more about what play therapy is and what I do.  I specialize in working with children ages 10 and under, adolescents 11 and up, and their parents - using play therapy.

I work with the following diagnoses or situations:

When working with a child - their parent is an active part of treatment, as we are a team working toward our goals. This means that after every three individual sessions with the child we will have a parent only session to discuss progress.

The name of the practice comes from the idea that parents often forget what it is to be a child and, as a result, sometimes kids themselves forget. Going BACK to play - it goes back to rebuilding that trust and relationship between a child and a trusted adult. When they learn it with the therapist - and the parents also work with the therapist - the parent/child relationship improves. The reason BACK is all capiltalized - it is the first inital of all members of my family.

In-person appointments available! Call/text/e-mail to request a 15-minute consultation today! While we appreciate your willingness to check the practice out, walk-in appointments are not available due to the nature of wanting to keep therapy a safe place.
