Therapy for Tweens & Teens
Too old to be a kid, too young to be an adult
Teenagers and pre-teens are learning how to navigate the world around them. They have the difficult task of others still treating them as small children, but not quite capable of taking on adult responsibilities.
This can often cause many arguments and issues in the home or with the family.
Teens also encounter some of the same issues that their younger peers do, but also many more.
I work with the following diagnoses or situations:
Oppositional Defiant Disorder/Conduct Disorder
Victims of Abuse
Children of Divorce/Separation
Self harm or suicidality
Relational Problems (peer interactions, sibling interactions, parent/child problems)
If your tween or teen is experiencing a situation or diagnosis that is not listed above, please inquire as to whether I work with those particular instances. There are some diagnoses and situations that I would not be the right therapist for.
Family (Parent) Sessions are only available for tweens and teens at their discretion, in order to keep therapy a safe place for them.
